We consider that a democratic society is based also on its non-governmental sector. The bigger the number of associations, the higher the indicator of democracy and participation. Societies need non-governmental associations because this expresses the voice of the people. Each organization tries to express the voice of the group which it represents: youth, minorities, environment, science etc. Official institutions may not focus on the needs of different layers of the society. In our vision, non-governmental associations bring their contribution by filling the gap between the needs of the people and the institutions.
Official institutions sometimes are at distance from the needs of different layers of society. In our vision, non-governmental associations bring their contribution, by filling the gap between the needs of the people and the institutions which represents the citizens.
Center for Dialog and Cooperation is addressed to the young people. We see the youth as the core element of a society acting like a bridge between the values from past and events from the future. In order to have a healthy society and a healthy world, the young people must develop themselves and the environment where they live according to values that stayed the same in time.
Because good values do not change, they remain the same.
On personal level, young people can:
- travel, meet new cultures and traditions
- improve the level of their foreign languages (especially English)
- improve their skills: communication, project management (preparing and implementing a project), analytical abilities
- develop their thinking and enrich their personality
On inter- personal level, young people can:
- promote moral values: responsibility, commitment, reliability, moral honesty and to pursue the good of the others
- promote social values: solidarity, respect for family, traditions and institutions (school, church and the state)
Here are our values:
- Responsibility
- Active participation
