We consider that a democratic society is based also on its non-governmental sector. The bigger the number of associations, the higher the indicator of democracy and participation. Societies need non-governmental associations because this expresses the voice of the people. Each organization tries to express the voice of the group which it represents: youth, minorities, environment, science etc. Official institutions may not focus on the needs of different layers of the society. In our vision, non-governmental associations bring their contribution by filling the gap between the needs of the people and the institutions. Official institutions sometimes are at distance from the needs of different layers of society. In our vision, non-governmental associations bring their contribution, by filling the gap between the needs of the people and the institutions which represents the citizens.
