Generation 2 Europe
ACDC is organizing in collaboration with our partners from Italy, AIM Giosef a youth exchange between 3rd to 10th of August 2009.
Generation2Europe is a youth exchange project between Italy, Portugal, Romania and France about European Citizenship and youth active participation in social life from the perspective of the second generations of immigrants and it will be formed by a group of 16 youngsters.
The participant's profile has to be between 18 and 25, with a migratory background: it means that they should have an extra European background, but they have EU citizenship, for example a Portuguese boy with Brazilian or African parents, or a Romanian girl with Moldavian parents. We aim to explore different integration models and citizenship legislation across Europe through non formal education and we'll express what we will discover in a stencil art composition.

AIMS:
1 To improve dialogue and empathy between youngsters who enjoy less civil and social rights
2 To promote active citizenship and EU values among European youngsters with extra European backgrounds with a view to 2009 EU elections results
3 To provide technical and theoretical instruments for the creation of a stencil art exhibition during the EU year of Creativity and Innovation 2009

OBJECTIVES:
1 To analyze individual experiences of social inclusion in Italy, Portugal, Romania and France
2 To debate about the possibilities that EU citizenship offers to youngsters with extra-EU background
3 To create an intercultural youth network able to set up an international stencil art movement as follow up of the exchange

The project involves the following EU countries:
Italy “AIM Giosef – Agency for Interculture and Mobility”, Portugal - ACV - Associação Cidadania Viva, Romania – ACDC – Association Centre for Dialog and Cooperation, France – Together.
