AIM Giosef organized in collaboration with ACDC a youth exchange between 3rd to 10th of August 2009.
Generation2Europe was a youth exchange project between Italy, Portugal, Romania and France about European Citizenship and youth active participation in social life from the perspective of the second generations of immigrants which was formed by a group of 16 youngsters.
The participant's profile was between 18 and 25, with a migratory background: it means that they should have an extra European background, but they have EU citizenship, for example a Portuguese boy with Brazilian or African parents, or a Romanian girl with Moldavian parents. We aime to explore different integration models and citizenship legislation across Europe through non formal education and we expressed what we discovered in a stencil art composition.
AIMS:
1 To improve dialogue and empathy between youngsters who enjoy less civil and social rights
2 To promote active citizenship and EU values among European youngsters with extra European backgrounds with a view to 2009 EU elections results
3 To provide technical and theoretical instruments for the creation of a stencil art exhibition during the EU year of Creativity and Innovation 2009
OBJECTIVES:
1 To analyze individual experiences of social inclusion in Italy, Portugal, Romania and France
2 To debate about the possibilities that EU citizenship offers to youngsters with extra-EU background
