Youth Exchange action 1.1

ACDC participated between 20- 27 September 2010 in Groningen, Netherlands in a youth exchange action 1.1

Aims and objectives
Aim:

The aim of the project was to educate a group of youth leaders that can be the base for an increased cooperation aiming to give young people international experiences. Objectives:

1. Create the base for a strong cooperation
1.1 Give the participants time to get to know each other
1.2 Give the participants a frame to develop new long lasting partnerships
1.3 Give the participants a frame to discuss their mutual expectations.
1.4 To give participants examples of best practice.

2. Give the participants tools to design and apply for a youth exchange
2.1 Give the participants an overview of programs that can be used for young people
2.2 Give the participants an understanding of Youth in Action program
2.3 Give the participants tools to design an exchange in accordance with the criteria’s in YiA          program
2.4 Give the participants tools to fill in the application form for YiA, Action 1.1
2.5 Give the participants tools to apply for additional funding to a youth exchange.
2.6 Give the participants tools to design an evaluation of a youth exchange.

3. Give the participants tools to design activities that promote intercultural learning and integration
3.1 Give the participants an theoretical understanding of intercultural learning and group
3.2 Give the participants examples of interactive methods to promote intercultural learning.
3.3 Give the participants knowledge about sources for methods
3.4 Inspire the participants to develop new methods.

4. Give the participants tools to design child protection and security program.
4.1 Give the participants an overview of factors in the design of an exchange that can insure          a good child security and protection
4.2 Give the participants time to develop their own “check-lists” for child security and          protection.

The training took place in Groningen, Netherlands, between 20- 27 September 2010.
